Head of the Catholic Church and ruler of the Papal States from April 1655 until his death in May 1667. Vellum manuscript document issued under the auspices of Pope Alexander VII, in Latin, one page, 12.5 x 7, September 13, 1656. Untranslated papal bull awarding a marriage license despite a blood relationship, penned in a clerical hand, carrying the leaden seal of Pope Alexander VII at the bottom. The seal reads "Alexander Papa VII" on one side, with his crest on the other. In fine condition.
