Original vintage 8.5 x 11 press kit issued by Tony Barrow to promote the release of the Beatles' third single, ‘From Me to You,’ which was released by Parlophone on April 12, 1963, with the catalogue number R5015. The press kit features a card cover with an image of the Beatles taken by Les Chadwick, who was working for Peter Kaye photography onboard the ship the Salvor, which was moored at Albert Dock in Liverpool, England, in late September 1962. Above the picture is a quote from BBC radio disc jockey Brian Matthew.
Also included: a collage of Beatles press cuttings; a ‘From Me to You’ pre-release quote from Brian Matthew; an information sheet detailing the release of the single, an information sheet about the forthcoming release of the Beatles debut album Please Please Me; a Beatles summer tour schedule; and a sheet listing the band’s record releases and contacts for the groups management and representation.
