Description

Rare 7-inch acetate for the classic 1965 Beatles song ‘Ticket to Ride,’ which was written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney and recorded at the EMI Recording Studio in London on February 15, 1965. The record retains its original Dick James Music Limited ‘Demo Disc’ label, which bears typed captions: “Ticket to Ride, The Beatles.” In fine condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks.

Issued as a single in April 1965, ‘Ticket to Ride’ became the Beatles' seventh consecutive number 1 hit in the United Kingdom and their third consecutive number 1 hit (and eighth in total) in the United States. The song was included on their 1965 album Help! and is featured in the scene where the Beatles are attempting to ski and avoiding a team of cult assassins determined to murder Ringo Starr.
