Vintage 1960s glossy 8 x 10 photograph of the Beatles posing together behind their instruments, an image that was originally taken by photographer Dezo Hoffman at Abbey Road Studios on September 4, 1962, when the Beatles were recording their first single, 'Love Me Do,’ at EMI Studios, Abbey Road, London, England. This image was later famously used for the band’s 1963 Parlophone Records promotional card. Interestingly, George Harrison is pictured sporting a black eye in the photograph, the result of an argument with a Beatles fan several days before the recording session. The recent firing of drummer Pete Best had rankled a large contingent of Beatles fans, one of whom showed his displeasure by punching Harrison in the face before a concert at the Cavern Club on August 19, 1962. In fine condition, with very slight edge curling. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks.
