Checklist page for the Space Shuttle Enterprise's Approach and Landing Tests (ALT), one page, 10.5 x 8, signed in black felt tip, "Enterprise [check] list—used in training! Fred Haise, Enterprise CDR." The page, marked "Mission: AL/Free Flt #1, 251-19, Date 08/01/77," carries instructions relating to the ADC and APU. In fine condition. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from Zarelli Space Authentication and a certificate of authenticity from Sandy Clarkson, which states that the page originates from the collection of NASA engineer Don Puddy.
After completing his backup assignment on Apollo 16, Haise moved to the Space Shuttle Program and participated in a number of ALT flights at Edwards Air Force Base in California. Alongside pilot Gordon Fullerton, Haise commanded the Space Shuttle Enterprise in free flight to three separate landings. The tests were used to verify the shuttle's flight characteristics, an important step toward the success of the program.
