The meteorite made several craters that can be visited today. The University of Texas of the Permian Basin identifies five craters at the Odessa site and shows a distribution map of the meteorite fragments recovered from the area. The main crater is 168 meters in diameter. This individual specimen still preserves its natural condition as it was never cleaned or treated.
