Original Civil War-era brass and tin identification stencil, 2.5 x 1,25, issued to “Delos Whitman, Hancock, Mass.” In fine condition. This ID stencil belonged to Nathan Delos Whitman of Hancock, Massachusetts, a 1st Lieutenant of Co. B of the 29th Massachusetts Volunteer Militia, who enlisted on May 18, 1861, and mustered out on May 21, 1864. In fine condition.
