Limited edition color 22.5 x 26.5 high-quality lithograph of Mike Doud and Mick Haggerty’s cover design for the Supertramp album Breakfast in America, which was released by A&M Records on March 16, 1979, numbered AP 7/20, signed in the lower border in pencil by Haggerty, who also designed album covers for artists like David Bowie, Jimi Hendrix, John Fogerty, Electric Light Orchestra, and more. Printed on Quintessence 100lb dull cover acid-free paper and published by Record Art in 1991. In very fine condition. Breakfast in America won the 1980 Grammy Award for Best Recording Package, defeating albums by Talking Heads and Led Zeppelin, among others. This was published as part of a portfolio by Record Art of New York, circa 1990, in an edition of 200 plus 20 artist proofs. An example of this print is part of the collection of London’s Victoria & Albert Museum.
