Limited edition color 26.5 x 22.5 high-quality lithograph of Mati Klarwein’s cover design for the Santana album Abraxas, which was released by Columbia Records on September 23, 1970, numbered AP 7/20, signed in the lower border in pencil by Klarwein, who also designed album covers for artists like Miles Davis, Earth, Wind & Fire, Leonard Bernstein, Buddy Miles, and more. Printed on Quintessence 100lb dull cover acid-free paper and published by Record Art in 1991. In very fine condition. This was published as part of a portfolio by Record Art of New York, circa 1990, in an edition of 200 plus 20 artist proofs. An example of this print is part of the collection of London’s Victoria & Albert Museum.
