The 1986 ALCS between the Boston Red Sox and the California Angels was a dramatic seven-game series remembered for its late-inning heroics. In Game 5, the Angels came within one strike of clinching the pennant before Dave Henderson’s two-run homer off Donnie Moore turned the game around and forced the series back to Boston. The Red Sox went on to win Games 6 and 7 at Fenway Park, capturing the American League pennant and advancing to the World Series.
