Complete issue of the New-York Tribune from September 7, 1877, 17 x 23, eight pages, featuring a page-fix column headed "The Rebellious Sioux," reporting on the death of Crazy Horse. In part: "Crazy Horse, the Sioux Chief who surrendered last May, died on Wednesday night, from a wound received in attempting to escape." The column makes further references to noted Native Americans Sitting Bull and Red Cloud. In good condition, with splits to folds, toning, and significant chipping to the fragile edges.
