(Walt Disney Studios, 1933) Original production drawing of Mickey Mouse from the Oscar-nominated short film Building a Building, which shows Mickey holding a fish bone after having cleanly removed it from the fish in his large sub-style sandwich. Accomplished in graphite on untrimmed 12 x 9.5 animation paper marked “51” in the lower right corner. Image measures 3.5 x 5. In fine condition. Building a Building was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film at the 6th Academy Awards, but lost to Disney's own Three Little Pigs. This was the second Mickey Mouse cartoon nominated for an Oscar.
