Civil War-dated partly-printed DS, one page, 7.75 x 9.5, June 28, 1864. Confederate recruiting document issued in Charleston, South Carolina, in part: "I, Wm. Harrison Teal, born in Anson in the State of No. Ca., aged eighteen years, and by occupation a Farmer, Do hereby Acknowledge to have voluntarily enlisted this 28th day of June 1864, as a Soldier in the Army of the Confederate States of America, to serve for the period of The War." Signed at the conclusion by Teal with his mark, "X," and countersigned by 2nd Lieutenant Langdon Bowes, Examining Surgeon T. C. Girardeau, and Recruiting Officer Theo. B. Hayne. In fine condition.
