TLS in French, signed “H. Matisse,” one page, 7.75 x 10, November 22, 1949. Interesting letter referring to Martin Fabiani, an art dealer convicted for being involved in the Nazi-looted art trade, and the reproduction of two of his paintings. In part (translated): "I hasten to inform you that I have had absolutely no notice about the Fabiani affair from the Court nor any news elsewhere…I would also like to know what is happening with the Draegèr company's request for authorization to reproduce two of my paintings on the subject of medical advertising. Has the project been realized? What products were involved?" In fine condition. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder.
