(Fred Wolf Films, 1987-1992) Original production key master background set-up from the animated television series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The set-up contains a production cel of Master Splinter in a full-length profile pose with his walking stick, which is placed on a hand-painted production background from the same scene; the detailed background appears to depict the entrance to the Turtles’ sewer-based lair under the streets of New York City, with pipes, ‘One Way’ street sign, and kitchen area. The cel image, marked “227, S-14,” measures 3 x 3.75, and the background, marked “TN-5, BG 369,” measures 14.75 x 10.5. The lower left bears an affixed MWS 'Original Production Animation Art’ label for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In fine condition, with some edgewear to the background, which includes some creasing and a short tear to the top edge.
