Complete issue of the New-York Times from March 6, 1865, 15.25 x 21, eight pages, with coverage of Abraham Lincoln's inauguration ceremony and the complete text of his second inaugural address, famously concluding: "With malice toward none, with charity for all, with firmness in the right as God gives us to see the right, let us strive on to finish the work we are in, to bind up the nation's wounds, to care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow and his orphan, to do all which may achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among ourselves and with all nations." Other main articles detail events of the Civil War, such as the capture of Confederate General Jubel Early's forces by Union General Philip Sheridan, the occupation of Charlottesville by the Union troops, and news relating to Confederate General Robert E.
