Rare competitor’s badge from the Chamonix 1924 Winter Olympics. The circular badge, 16 gm, 43 mm in diameter, features a raised image of an edelweiss flower and French text, “Sports D'Hiver, Chamonix, Mont Blanc, 1924,” the word “Concurrent” set against a blue enamel background, and the letters "C.O.P." embossed in the bottom section. Reverse of the badge is stamped, "1172." The badge features a replacement backer and is without its original ribbon. Badges from the first official Winter Olympics remain exceptionally rare, with this representing only our third example.
