World War II-era German Kriegsmarine ship deck binnacle/compass, measuring approximately 12˝ across the base and 13˝ tall, with a metal plate on the base: "Hersteller: C. Plath Hamburg, Baum: StMB13/25L, Werkn: 1150." The lid is removable, revealing the functional, fluid-filled compass under a glass dome, its metal exterior ring engraved with the maker, "C. Plath, Hamburg," the Kriegsmarine eagle and swastika, and "M1300 Nr. 1919." In very good to fine condition.
