Sincerely, Alex Haley, January 4, 1978”; and a first edition of A Different Kind of Christmas, hardcover with dust jacket, published by Doubleday in 1988, signed and inscribed on the half-title page in black felt tip, “To Dean Anderson, Brother love! Alex Haley, Nov. 25, 1988.” In overall very good to fine condition, with a light crease to the signed page of the Christmas book, and light soiling and wear to the Roots dust jacket.
