Fantastic original color glossy 19.75 x 15.75 close-up photo of Van Morrison for the cover of his 1970 album 'Moondance,' titled and signed in the lower border in silver ink by the photographer, "Van Morrison, Woodstock, NY, 1969, Moondance, Elliott Landy." Also stamped on the reverse with a LandyVision copyright notice (with printing date of November 1998 and print run of 4), signed again in black felt tip, "Elliott Landy." This print was produced using the high-quality Ilfochrome dye destruction method, used to create a full color, positive image from a color transparency; this process is known for its image clarity, color saturation, and archival stability. Elliott Landy (born 1942) is an American photographer renowned for his iconic images of 1960s rock musicians, including several portraits incorporated into famous album artwork: Bob Dylan (Nashville Skyline), The Band (Music from Big Pink), Janis Joplin (Cheap Thrills), and Van Morrison (Moondance). As the official photographer of the 1969 Woodstock Festival, his work captured the essence of the era's counterculture movement.
