Extremely rare black satin bomber jacket from Bob Dylan's 1978 tour of the United States, embroidered on the back with a large emblem showing a woman riding a flying horse, lettered in yellow above: "Bob Dylan, 1978 U.S. Tour." The jacket features a zip-down placket, two slash pockets trimmed in white, and the tour manager's name, "Jay Hagerman," embroidered in yellow on the chest. The "LP Designs by Mary Bassel" maker's tag is sewn inside the placket, with adjacent size "7" [medium] tag. In fine condition. Distribution of this jacket was limited exclusively to the band, crew, and tour management. Originates from the collection of a tour manager who worked for Concerts West in the 1970s, and subsequently as an independent contractor providing tour management and entertainment accounting services in the early 1980s.
