ALS, one page, 8 x 10.5, Department of Justice letterhead, April 29, 1882. Handwritten letter requesting photographs of notorious outlaws, in full: "Can you get for me photographs of the Ford boys and Rich'd Liddil? Would be glad to have them." In fine condition, with a short fold split. Waters was appointed by President Rutherford B. Hayes as U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri on January 14, 1878.
