Japanese naval officer (1918–1999) who became the first prisoner of war of World War II to be captured by U.S. forces. Color 5.5 x 3.5 postcard depicting Maiko dressed in beautiful kimonos at Kyoto, signed on the reverse in fountain pen by Kazuo Sakamaki, and stamped: "Midget Sub CDR-POW No. 1, 25th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor." In fine condition.
