Original staple-bound NASA manual entitled ‘Selected Topics in Human Physiology and Space Flight, Video Taped Briefing, March 1972,” originating from the personal collection of Melvin F. Brooks, a longtime NASA employee who served as the Agena Flight Controller during Project Gemini and Assistant Chief of Experiments Systems/ Payload Operations for the Apollo Program. The manual, 32 pages (with 21 figures and a six-page addendum), 8 x 10.5, features copious handwritten notes by Brooks, with notable highlights occurring on Figure 7 and the reverse of page nine, the latter of which contains a large, detailed sketch of a heart. The front cover bears Brooks’s ownership signature, and a couple of loose pages of Brooks’ notes are also included. In fine condition, with expected signs of use.
