Four documents signed by notable 18th and 19th-century politicians, ranging in size from 12.5 x 12.5 to 16 x 9.5, dated from 1793 to 1825. Signers are: Edward Telfair (1793), governor of Georgia from 1786 to 1787 and 1790 to 1793, a member of the Continental Congress, and a signer of the Articles of Confederation; John Brooks (1818), a militia leader during the Revolutionary War and later governor of Massachusetts from 1816 to 1823; William Eustis (1824), a military surgeon during the Revolutionary War and later governor of Massachusetts from 1823 to 1825; and DeWitt Clinton (1825), a United States senator, mayor of New York City, and governor of New York from 1817 to 1823 and 1825 to 1828. In overall good to very good condition, with many splits to folds, a few tape-repaired separations, and some toning and staining to the documents.
