Description

Handsome pair of 19th-century United States Army officer's epaulettes, featuring fine quality 2.75˝ wide bullion tape boards, brass crescents retaining most of the original gilt, and wide coiled bullion suspensions typical of the period. A major's bullion leaf is mounted to the left epaulette; missing from the right. Housed in a japanned black case with carrying handle, marked on top: "Schuyler, Hartley, Graham & Co." In overall very good condition, with wear to the case.
