Four official Project Apollo Preliminary Science Reports for the Apollo 12, 15, 16, and 17 lunar landing missions, including: a hardcover copy of the Apollo 12 Preliminary Science Report (NASA SP-235); a hardcover copy of the Apollo 15 Preliminary Science Report (NASA SP-289); a softcover copy of the Apollo 16 Preliminary Science Report (NASA SP-315); and a hardcover copy of the Apollo 17 Preliminary Science Report (NASA SP-330). In overall fine condition, with dampstaining and spotting to the Apollo 16 report. These books originate from the personal collection of American geochemist Hugh P. Taylor, Jr., (1932-2021) whose name is gilt-stamped on the hardcover examples; Taylor analyzed the chemical composition of lunar rocks and minerals from all of the successful Apollo moon missions, as well as the Luna 20 mission.
