Neil Armstrong's commemorative ‘launch day’ cover with a cachet honoring the Apollo 11 mission, with images of each astronaut and text that reads, “Project Apollo,” “First Manned Lunar Landing,” and “Apollo XI The First Step…,” postmarked at the Kennedy Space Center on July 16, 1969, featuring an affixed Apollo 8 stamp to the upper right corner. In very fine condition. Encapsulated by CAG as being from the Armstrong Family Collection. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from The Armstrong Family Collection, signed by Armstrong's sons, Rick and Mark.
