Swedish chemist, engineer, inventor, businessman, and philanthropist (1833–1896) known for inventing dynamite and for bequeathing his fortune for the establishment of the Nobel Prize. Alfred Nobel's personal calling card, 3.75 x 2.25, elegantly engraved with his name in a simple, cursive script: "Mr. Alfred Nobel." Annotated in pencil in another hand with his address, "53 Avenue Malakoff, Paris," and a note in French (translated): "Met in Helsingborg in Sept. 1882." In fine condition.
