(Warner Brothers Studios, 1990s) Two large original drawings by legendary cartoonist and animator Virgil Ross, accomplished in graphite and colored pencil on untrimmed sheets of animation paper measuring 17 x 10.5 and 17 x 13.5, both signed at the bottom in pencil, "Virgil Ross." The smaller of the pair depicts a group of 10 classic Looney Tunes characters, nine of which—Yosemite Sam, Speedy Gonzales, Wile E. Coyote, Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, Road Runner, Taz, Sylvester, and Bugs Bunny—are chasing Tweety Bird; and the second is a model sheet drawing of Tweety in four different poses as he prepares to fly, an attractive house interior background done in blue pencil. In overall fine condition, with some light creasing. These one-of-a-kind drawings were done to be sold in the Warner Brothers Studio stores in the 1990s.
