Sharp 10 x 7.75 engraving entitled "Abraham Lincoln Entering Richmond, April 3d 1865," engraved by J. C. Buttre from a drawing by L. Hollis, and published by B. B. Russell & Co. of Boston, imprinted in the lower border with an 1866 copyright notice. The dramatic scene shows President Lincoln with his son, Tad, on a visit to Richmond, with African American men, women, and children rejoicing around them. Displayed in a contemporary frame to an overall size of 14 x 11.75. In fine condition, with scattered foxing.
