Unusual grouping of three relics related to the assassination of Abraham Lincoln: a crumpled piece of pink and magenta floral-patterned wallpaper and a 2˝-long piece of decorative gilt plaster railing attributed to Ford's Theatre, together in an envelope annotated "1. Piece of railing from the theatre box where Lincoln was shot, 2. wallpaper"; and a 3˝-long section of rope, with an old tag attached: "Piece of the rope that lowered John Wilkes Booth to his grave. Donated by F. O. Fellows." The wallpaper matches other known examples of wallpaper taken from the president's box at Ford's Theatre. In overall very good to fine condition.
