Beautiful Fitz and Floyd china soup bowl from the Reagan White House, measuring 4.5″ in diameter and 2.25″ tall, with attractive gold borders to white canvas, a red and deep blue rim, and a golden Great Seal of the United States to the front. The bottom of the plate is marked, "White House Service by Robert C. Floyd, Fritz and Floyd, Inc., Fine China, 1983." In very fine condition. White House china pieces are among the most difficult presidential items to obtain.
Accompanied by four sugar packets and two napkins, all bearing the presidential seal, a photocopied image of Reagan at a luncheon meeting, and a photocopy of a 1983 letter from President Reagan to Robert C. Floyd of Fitz and Floyd, Inc., which reads: ‘Let me express my sincere gratitude for the magnificent crested china to be used in the White House, at Camp David and aboard Air Force One. The workmanship is outstanding, and I deeply appreciate the time and skill you and your staff devoted to crafting these fine pieces of china.
