American politician (1891–1967) who served as Secretary of the Treasury under Franklin D. Roosevelt and played a major role in advancing his New Deal policies. Two vintage matte-finish photos signed neatly in black ink by Henry Morgenthau, Jr., including a 10.5 x 9 group photo of Morgenthau seated behind his desk and surrounded by several other people, and a 10 x 13 portrait photo, with Morgenthau adding the year, “1936.” In overall fine condition.
