Prolific German composer and choral conductor (1819-1885) credited with over 3,000 works, mostly in the area of vocal music. Two ALSs in German, each signed "Franz Abt," totaling four pages, 5 x 8.25, dated February 2, 1864 and March 8, 1871. In overall very good to fine condition, with pieces of old tape along the left edge of the longer letter.
