(Walt Disney Studios, 2005) Extremely rare original color model cel used to create the wonderful Lady and the Tramp 50th Anniversary Sericel released by Disney in 2005. The cel boasts a marvelous cast of hand-painted and hand-inked characters from the beloved film, including Trusty the Bloodhound, Jock the Scottish Terrier, Peg the Pekingese, the Siamese cats Si and Am, and Lady and Tramp's son, Scamp, all of which surround the two canine stars of the film, who are centrally presented during their romantic ‘Bella Notte’ sequence. The cel, which is marked along the bottom edge, “Lady + Tramp Golden Anniversary, Color Model,” is placed on a matching Disney print background. Character images range in size from 2 x 3 (Lady near Darling baby bassinet) to 6 x 5.75 (Lady and Tramp at table), with overall dimensions of 19 x 16. In fine condition. Only a handful of preliminary color model cels are made during the sericel production process, a distinction that further emphasizes the specialness of this large, multi-character cel that captures several memorable moments from this Disney classic.
