Rare and unique original sketch of two female figures drawn by John Lennon in red felt tip on a sheet of off-white 8 x 6.75 memo paper, discovered by teenage Beatles mega-fan Lizzie Bravo outside Apple's headquarters at 3 Savile Row, London, in 1969. Lizzie is most famously known for singing back-up vocals with the Beatles, on a version of 'Across the Universe.' This sketch is accompanied by a letter of provenance from Bravo, in part: "When I was living in London in the late 60's I used to spend a lot of time outside Paul's house at Cavendish Avenue, EMI Studios at Abbey Road and later on the Apple Offices at Saville Row. On one of those occasions at Saville Row sometime in 1969, I looked through the paper garbage pail down the metal stairs...Right on top I found—among other things—this great item, where John drew these two women." Additionally includes an extremely rare inscribed first edition copy of Bravo's book in Portuguese, Do Rio a Abbey Road, featuring her writing and photography; this John Lennon sketch, along with another found by Bravo, are pictured in the book (p. 240).
Additionally includes a rare original vintage glossy 9.5 x 7 silver gelatin photograph of John Lennon and Yoko Ono inside Apple's offices in 1969, with caption and Camera Press copyright stamp on the reverse; a very rare color 3.25 x 3.5 candid snapshot of Lennon and Yoko inside Apple's headquarters in December 1969; and a scarce original 1969 postcard of Apple's building at 3 Savile Row, London, showing the front stairs where Lizzie found the drawing. In overall fine condition.
