Rare original vintage color 14 x 22 cardboard boxing-style poster (Globe) advertising "Jack Schenck Presents The All Star Revue, Darktown Scandals featuring Ida Cox," at the Grand Theatre in Decorah, Iowa, on Friday, November 12th [no year but likely 1937]. In fine condition, with some edgewear. Ida Cox, ‘The Uncrowned Queen of the Blues,’ was a singer and vaudeville performer, best known for her blues performances; she toured with the Darktown Scandals in the south and midwest during the mid-to-late 1930s. The consignor notes that this poster was one of three that remain from the Decorah show.
