Western Electric aircraft amount gyro in a gold-plated cylindrical case, measuring approximately 4″ x 4″ x 8.5″, with the manufacturer's label on top: "Amount Gyro, 8171000, Western Electric GA-10119, Serial No. W-112682." The side is labeled: "Fragile, Delicate Instrument, Handle With Care." The internal gyroscope device spins freely. The base of the unit has four holes for mounting, with electrical contacts on the bottom. Exhibits some scratches to the case.
