Desirable circa 1970s-80s business card from Alan Shepard's post-NASA career, 3.5 x 2, identifying him as president of Windward Co., a Texas distributor for Coors beer. In very good to fine condition, with a few creases along the top edge.
In 1994, the Chicago Tribune reported: 'When Shepard retired as an admiral in 1974, he became chairman and later president of several Houston construction corporations (and a Coors beer distribution company). Within a decade of his moon trip, he was rated the world's wealthiest astronaut, with a worth estimated between $1 million and $5 million, most of it thanks to wise investments in Texas real estate (such as his subdivision in Conroe, named Shepard's Landing).'
