(Walt Disney Studios, 1937) Wonderful original panoramic concept painting by Frank Follmer of a large assortment of characters from Fantasia, including Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerer’s Apprentice, a magic broom, Hyacinth Hippo, Madame Upanova, a centaurette, and several Nutcracker Suite dancers like a sugarplum fairy, thistles, flowers, and mushrooms, which includes Hop Low. Accomplished in graphite and watercolor on 17.75 x 10.75 artist's paper, signed in the lower right in pencil, "F. Follmer." Double-matted and framed to an overall size of 25 x 17.75. In fine condition. Follmer worked at Walt Disney Studios from the late 1930s through the early 1940s, assisting on projects like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, and Fantasia.
