Graded by PSA PR 1. Though the most common of the four Babe Ruth baseball cards in the 1933 Goudey set, the #144 Ruth card is the only one to offer a full-bodied image: the 'Sultan of Swat' is shown taking a mighty hack in his New York Yankees pinstripes. The green text on the reverse makes note of his heroic feats at the plate: "Holds big league home run record, 60, made in 1927. Led American League in batting in 1924. Last year batted .341 and hit 41 homers." A well-loved card with surface wrinkles and rounded corners, this remains a high-quality and eye-appealing example for the grade.
