Uncommon NASA-owned 1:100 scale resin display model of the Space Shuttle Columbia (OV-102) orbiter, measuring 14″ in length and 9″ from wing to wing, with moveable payload bay doors. The rear of the model bears an affixed NASA “U.S. Govt. Prop” label numbered “2612189,” and the underside of the model features an affixed label identifying it as “Exhibit, Space Shuttle Orbit.” In fine condition, with some light wear and small paint cracks, and a repair to the vertical stabilizer.
The consignor states that this model was obtained from the NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia.
