Rare Mason's Pottery pitcher commemorating the 1927 opening of the Peace Bridge, which connects Buffalo, New York, in the United States to Fort Erie, Ontario, in Canada. The 5″ tall pitcher features satirical transfer prints/illustrations of "The Politicians," with text reading: “In Commemoration of the Opening of the Peace Bridge Between Buffalo and Fort Erie Opened By H.R.H. The Prince of Wales and President Coolidge May 24th 1927.” Features maker's marks and serial number on the bottom: "Mason’s / Patent Ironstone China / England / C2472." In very fine condition.
