An activist on behalf of veterans' affairs, Logan was instrumental in the creation of Memorial Day as a public holiday. Hand-addressed envelope panel, 8.5 x 3.75, addressed in another hand to “Hon. Joseph Wilson, Commissioner Genl Land Office, Washington City, DC,” and franked in the upper right corner, “John A. Logan, AG.” In fine condition. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder, grading the autograph as "EX-MT 6."
