Lawyer, journalist, and politician (1789-1869) who served as postmaster general under Andrew Jackson and Martin Van Buren. Hand-addressed mailing envelope, 6 x 3.25, filled out in another hand and postmarked at Washington, May 16 [1834], addressed to “Daniel D. Brodhead Esqr, Navy Agent, Boston, Mass,” and franked above, "A: Kendall.” In very good to fine condition, with irregular toning and a central vertical fold. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder, grading the autograph as “EX-MT 6."
