Lovely participation medal issued for the Seoul 1988 Summer Olympics. Bronze, 60 mm, 115 gm, by Kim Kwang-hyun. The front depicts Namdaemun, one of the gates in the Fortress Wall of Seoul, with mountains, clouds, cranes, and the sun; the reverse bears the Seoul Games emblem and reads "XXIV Olympiad, Seoul 1988." Complete with its pristine original purple velvet case and scarce cardboard box, which bears a stain and short tear.
