Two items signed by the department store mogul: a small glossy 3 x 4.25 portrait of Penney, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To Jim-Sincerely, J. C. Penney"; and a TLS signed "J. C. Penney," one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, August 11, 1958, in part: "I am happy to comply with your request for an autographed picture of me." In overall fine condition.
