Forty year mortgage sinking fund 5% gold bond, signed in ink by the company's president and secretary. The bond features an ornate border and a great railroad vignette. In fine condition. The company was founded in 1897 to connect the California Central Valley to the Gold Country foothills of the Sierra Nevada.
