Stock certificate for one share in the Boston Investment Company, one page, 9.75 x 14.25, July 17, 1889. This extremely rare format features a custom vignette of a Boston building and a portrait of President George Washington at the bottom. It is one of just two known to exist. In fine condition. The Boston Investment Company spent over a million dollars to finance the Massachusetts Building, the Plymouth Block, and the Boston Block.
